The Southern Water Call is a WECR based working group which facilitates collaboration and strategy development among organizations working towards water equity and climate resilience in the Southern region. The workgroup focuses on communities of color, low-income communities, and frontline communities impacted by water and climate justice issues in the South. Members participate in peer learning, strengthen existing water and climate justice movements, and collectively develop a regional federal policy agenda. This involves creating fact sheets, reframing conversations on climate, environment, and equity to highlight sustainable practices, amplifying community voices, and engaging stakeholders meaningfully.
