The first of 19 sites chosen for the Urban Waters Federal Partnership (UWFP). Since 2011, efforts in the basin have shifted from federally-led projects to locally-driven initiatives focused on collaboration and resource-sharing.
The basin serves as a focal point for improving water quality, reducing flood risk, restoring ecosystems, and enhancing community resilience. Federal, state, and local partners work together across sectors to ensure clean water, a healthy environment, and a thriving ecosystem for all.
