About

The Resource Hub is a collaborative effort between the SW EFC, Pontchartrain Conservancy, The Water Collaborative, Moonshot Missions, and WaterNow Alliance, known as the Pontchartrain Basin Working Group (Working Group). The Working Group is a regional collaboration founded in 2024 through the Southwest Environmental Finance Center’s (SW EFC) Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Assistance Program.
Our mission is to use our collective knowledge and expertise to bolster community resilience across the Pontchartrain Basin by making it easier for local water leaders and stakeholders to access the information, resources, and funding needed to plan and implement sustainable water infrastructure projects.
The Funding and Financing Database
The Pontchartrain Basin Funding and Financing Database –a core resource within this hub– is designed to help basin communities identify funding and financing opportunities that match their priority water management goals. The database includes federal, state, and local funding options that have traditionally been used to pay for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. Because these projects also provide community and environmental benefits beyond water management (i.e., wetlands restoration, improved recreation amenities, etc.), the database also includes a range of less traditional options that can be used to fund water projects.
The database is updated monthly to reflect new funding cycles and program changes.
To find funding that fits your water systems, community, and environmental needs, filter by:
Project type (drinking water, wastewater, or stormwater)
Project goals (e.g., regulatory compliance, infrastructure resilience, water quality improvements, or wetlands restoration)
Project status (planning, design, or construction)
Applicant (parish, municipality, utility, or nonprofit organization)
The Working Group developed this database to help users save time and reduce complexity so communities can spend less time searching for funding and more time moving projects forward.
